Guidelines for Walkers
Before the Walk
- Please wear comfy shoes
- Bring a sun hat and sun cream if it looks like it’s going to be hot, or
waterproofs if it does not!
- All walkers will receive a bottle of water
During the Walk
PLEASE DON'T:
- Walk on the grass in the Colleges, except where specifically directed to do so
- Bring dogs into the College grounds (except Guide Dogs)
- Stop for a picnic in the College grounds
- Let balloons loose indoors
- Run! This isn’t a race and there are many uneven surfaces on the
route - we don’t want you to trip
- Smoke in the College grounds
PLEASE DO:
- Start any time between 9.30 and 11am, but you won’t be allowed to start the walk after 11am, even if you have paid
- Stop at the checkpoints en route to get your programme stamped so
that you can prove to your sponsors that you completed the walk
- Take good care when crossing roads - please use the pedestrian
crossings our stewards and signs direct you to
- Ask the Cambridge Blue and Green Badge Tourist Guides questions about the Colleges
- Explore the Arctic at the Scott Polar Research Institute Museum
- Please note that the last Colleges on the route will close around
2pm (and the earlier Colleges will close from 12pm). We appreciate
that you may want to take your time, but please try to finish before
2pm so that you don’t miss anything!
Have a great day!
