In total we have raised over £260,000 since this popular event began with huge support from Cambridge News, University of Cambridge and Cambridge University Press.
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is challenged with raising £1million each year which equates to £2747.25 every day! In 2009 we received a staggering £19,000 from the proceeds of Bridge the Gap. This will go a long way in helping ensure that Arthur Rank House can continue to offer life-enhancing care and support to patients and their loved ones, all of whom are affected by the complications presented by cancer and other life limiting illness.
The Charity is primarily responsible for funding Day Therapy, which provides patients with practical and emotional support. The sessions provided are very much about working with patients to help alleviate any anxiety and fears, and ultimately enabling them to manage the complications presented by their illness so they can make the most out of their life.
We also fund Hospice at Home which provides specialist end of life care for patients in their home if that is their wish. Our nurses also offer vital support to families as they face the emotional and practical challenges of caring for a loved one.
